[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I really didn’t think I would like this bronze leaning lip colour but it’s turned out to be quite the surprise in that it’s very wearable.
I like a balmy lip cover – so much more comfortable than lipsticks and easy to forget you’re even wearing it. My preference is for face brighteners such as pink or orange and it’s rare to find a neutral that’s not too draining. Ilia Balmy Tints are lip protective and nourishing in that they contain salicornia (you might know this better as sea asparagus) shea and rosehip seed oil and it’s not slippy which is why I think the colour lasts so nicely.
So, I think that looks okay – it’s warm which is helpful for my tone so I’m glad I made the effort to try this because it definitely wasn’t on my list of things to talk about this week.
You can see that there is a light sheen – normally I’d prefer something a bit glossier but it’s the lack of slip that will help it last much longer. It’s pricy at £30 but if it’s a colour you think you’ll wear and you have dry lips, it could be something of a saviour. There are five other shades and Sephora has them HERE.
