[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I think that BBB readers who have been with me from the get go will remember my friend The Very Simon G. We did lots of YouTube videos together, still in touch regularly and even now with partner in beauty crime, DisneyRollerGirl, make a terrible trio when we are out together ;-). Simon has just become a dad with his partner, Nik, and he now works with Accessorize so I’ve got several items to show you over the next few weeks. They’re all samples sent over to feature here just so we are completely clear, but I picked out what I wanted to show you. I’m kicking off with this yellow cross body (which also comes in shade du jour – green).
I can’t wear this ochre colour anywhere near my face – it just makes me look ill – but I can wear it as an accessory just to add the splash of colour that I’m craving at the moment.
It’s even got a little card wallet tucked inside that you can detach if you’re travelling light and tuck in your pocket. It’s a great price at £22 HERE and if you’re like me and get the colour cravings around about now every year, is something that can reappear year after year. Even better than any of this – the model wearing it on the site is a beautiful mid-lifer which is something we need to see more of reflected in high street fashion.
Here’s how I wore it yesterday for a meeting at Soho House.
The other thing that has made me happy is this little trio of rings – they genuinely made me smile when I put them on. We have builders drilling in the background, sleet falling and wind howling but they just brought to mind summer, sunshine and beaches.
I even changed my shirt to match the rings! They’re £12 HERE for the three and come in S, M and L – I’ve got M and they’re plenty big enough for my middle finger. Bring on the sarong! I have to tell you he has sent me a green swimsuit – I am not sure that’s ever going to see the light of day being modelled by moi on here. Yikes!

Wow, what a cutie of a bag, Jane! Enjoy! I have one nearly the same color (slightly more lemon than mustard) – and in warm season it goes with literally anything, such a joyful pick-me-up thingie… Rings and top are perfect match, lovely 😉
Thanks Anna – happy weekend 🙂
Love the minimalist nail art too!
Thanks so much – those new Nails Inc pens – that was the easiest thing I ever did!
You’re a vision of Spring here Jane, thanks for sharing, think I’ll get the bag as a wee treat
Thank you!
That’s lovely, and it looks great on you Jane. Lovely colour and style.
I wore one of my ‘summer” lipsticks the other day when it was belting with freezing cold rain here in Berkshire (Rose Paris by Sisley, perfect coral pink) for the same reason – I’m sick of winter and needed a shot of bright colour.
Roll on spring!
I know – there comes a point when all you want is colour – I’m thankful for daffodils this time of year 🙂
Fab bag Jane! Looking forward to our next #influencerdinner 😉
oh yes me too! let’s make it soon 🙂
Thanks for sharing, Jane. You’re a picture of spring here. I guess I’ll get the bag as a little pleasure.
You look great! I love your eyeliner–it looks like a teal blue that compliments your new purse.
Thank you! I think it’s green – from 19/99 🙂
Went for the green Jane. Looking forward to spring here as well.
Oh lovely!
The rings are very pretty, and while they’re obviously fashion jewellery and not designed to last forever, I’ve found Accessorize rings lose their gold plate in weeks rather than months.
That multi coloured blouse is stunning by the way.
Thanks Jaq – yes, I often think you have to treat fashion jewellery with more care than real jewels which are much more robust. I think these are really just for ‘accessorizing’ as and when you feel like you want a flash of colour.
