[unpaid/sample] On account of being so hard to reach, backs don’t get nearly the same amount of attention as the rest of our bodies. Almost two years of yoga means I can mostly reach all of it but there’s absolutely no elegance to the process! The Velvotan Back Applicator has more uses than just for applying self tan.
It’s a simple enough concept that allows you to click the handle into place (takes a bit of force) which makes it rigid (you can fold it away when you’re not using it) and you slip the tanning mitt over the top where it stays firmly in place while you buff in your tan from whatever angle suits you best.
Because the mitts are washable, it opens the door for you to apply sunscreen, after sun and body moisturiser as well as tan. Just rinse the mitt and let dry when you’re done. I think I’d suggest getting two mitts and keeping one only for self-tan but if you’re thinking to use it for bacne treatments, I’d get a separate one for that too. £5.99 very well spent, I think! Love this – a few years ago my partner ‘gifted’ me with a sponge loofa with handle and a tanning mitt pulled down over it. Its fits very snugly too! I’ve used it since and it is excellent for back tanning – bonus its spongy and soft too! Still hasn’t stopped me from presenting him with mitt to ‘do my back’ it takes 20 seconds for him to do it and no gyrating on my part.

Such a shame -just something else made from plastic. I simply use my wooden body brush from the Body Shop, the handle is longer than this & pop a mitt over it secure with elastic band & no plastic!
