[unpaid/affiliate/ad] I was actually searching for paisley blouses when I came across this perfect summer piece from Mango. I’m moody about showing my arms – sometimes I don’t mind in the least and don’t even think about it and other times I’m happier with them covered. I can’t really explain it (I’m trialling Coolsculpt at the moment so I’ll feed back on that when, and if, there are any tangible results). So this Mango blouse immediately caught my attention as the answer to the moodiest days! I love sheer tops (I wear Uniqlo bra tops underneath in the Airism fabric HERE for summer) and have many already but there’s always space for more. This kind of top is the only exception to the whole shorts with long sleeve top look which otherwise I find completely baffling – if it’s cold surely you need to cover both top and bottom and if it’s hot surely you need to uncover both top and bottom. Fashion sometimes has some explaining to do.
I like both the airiness of this and mellow florals that speak of summer without yelling about it :-). It’s as lovely for afternoon tea as it is for an evening dinner or a school run.
The model is wearing jeans and you can see how well it looks with denim, but also think of crops in navy or white or flowy linen in just about any colour – or if you’re that person, shorts :-). I’m a fan of a collar and this has something in the way of it with a low-key frill that acts as a something around the neck area and strings (is that the fashion term? I really don’t know what you’d call them) that you can tie loosely, let hang or put in a bow. Anything that’s an easy, comfortable wear that I don’t have to think about is good and this is absolutely that. It’s £29.99 HERE, non-affiliate HERE. Sizes are 6 to 14. There isn’t a direct comparison for plus size but if you like general flowy theme and the neck there are a couple of very pretty sheer blouses HERE.
