[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I can’t seem to stop adding to my Tan-Luxe collection, although the new Super Gloss is probably the one I’m least likely to wear. However, I’m thankful for the sunshine today so I can see just how effective it is at giving a sun-kissed, glossy glow to the complexion.
When I say ‘glow’ I think that can be interpreted differently – one woman’s editorial, glossy skin can easily be another’s oily looking nightmare. I must admit, thrilled as I am with the results – because it IS gorgeous – I am not sure I’d venture out to Tesco with skin this shiny. You get an instant light tan look – and it’s a good, realistic sun-kissed look – that contains some shimmer but not so much it’s a case of face-forward into the glitter tray.
Tan-Luxe Super Gloss is something I’d happily crack out on holiday sitting in that gorgeously ambient pre-sundown light and it would look glamorously at home there. As you can see, I’ve got several bottles of Tan-Luxe – it’s a mix of hyaluronic serum and squalane that looks and feels more like skin care than self tan but it’s a wonder at taking the edge off winter skin because it looks so natural. You won’t go mahogany but you can add more to get a deeper effect. I find that three drops a day keeps my skin looking naturally warm. It’s not the same for everyone, but I’m inclined not to bother with a base if I feel my tone is warm enough.
Side by side are pictures of Super Glow applied to my arm in the first one, and buffed over with a brush in the second, which is an accurate representation of the finished result. The majority of the gloss calms down over time so you won’t look high gleam all day. I’d strongly recommend using a brush to buff it over the skin – the formula, as you’d expect, is quite oily and needs the soft bristles to give an even finish. FeelUnique has it for £29.75 instead of £35 HERE, as it does the Super Serum which is my regular go-to HERE at the same price. Non-affiliate HERE.
