Angela Langford Sweet Cheeks Cleansing Face Wash Review

[unpaid/sample] Although we have more skin type specific cleansers than ever before, oily and congested skin tends to be targeted with harsher ingredients. Not so here – the Sweet Cheeks Cleansing Face Wash takes the ‘medical’ out of washing your facial skin and puts back the pleasure.

Angela’s story is interesting – she’s a former Masterchef contestant from 2013 who got to the finals round so I can easily see a parallel between cooking and creating skin care. It’s all about mastery of ingredients. Angela lives in Spain where there wasn’t the same selection of skin care, especially for sensitive skin, so she gave herself the challenge of creating her own. What’s surprising with Sweet Cheeks is how little you need to get your skin nicely cleansed – I’d say it’s a good morning wash rather than a make up remover and is formulated with rose petals, papaya (enzymatic), cypress, orange blossom and witch hazel, the latter of which dictates the scent somewhat. I think I might have liked the rose petals to take centre stage. It’s not a ‘stripper’ – easy on the complexion and gentle. It’s £18.50.

The Bloom & Glow is everything you’d want in a facial oil. I love face oils and haven’t used one for a good while so this was a great pleasure. It’s silky and nourishing, full of essential fatty acids from chia seeds and sea buckthorn and very nicely priced at £20.50. Add in jojoba, vitamin E and evening primrose and you have the kind of oil that you just know is good for your skin. The scent is very spa-ish – that blend of rose geranium that instantly makes you relax – a proper treat. I have a rose geranium in the garden and can never resist a quick stroke of the petals to get that scent. You can find all of Angela’s products HERE.
