[unpaid/sample] What can I say? They’re all gorgeous – the Liquid Lurex eye shadows are best in class when it comes to all-age and all-tone beauty. Even all-ability because they need almost no effort at all to apply.
So here they are : Viola, Titania and Cressida. I can’t even pick a favourite because they all look good on me.
The Liquid Lurex formula is luminous – you can add as much or as little as you like and I love wearing them as just a wash of colour on the lids rather than a full colour. I use a brush to apply rather than the doe’s foot provided so I can control the amount better. You need the smallest amount if you’re looking for a ‘glaze’ effect. The best for lid brightening is by far and away Cressida which is almost champagne coloured.
I’m wearing Cressida in this picture so you can see how well it brightens.
In the swatch, bottom to top, Cressida, Titania and Viola. They’re HERE, for £19 and still in stock at the time of writing.

Oh, they are all fab and blend/spread like a charm (apart only from Iris that blends way less well than the others and has rather poor color pay off, loosing that metallic purple sheen for some dusty greyish veil… but I’m steel trying to conquer it!)! I’m also sooooo pleased with how that metallic shimmer compliments (my not so smooth anymore) eyelids giving some sort of flattering blur… I have 5 of them and now craving the Viola and Emily (and may be Cressida too… omg, ashamed… put some breaks on me, someone!). Lisa did (again!) an amazing job. Wanna see eyeliner in pencil form and mascara (red wine and purple, please! ) from her as well.
haha – yes they are very more-ish. Perhaps the key is to layer with a brush? Leave a few moments before adding extra layers. I quite like ‘wash’ of colour rather than full pigment… I also want to see eyeliner and believe me I have asked the question… no answer 😉
Thank you for asking about eyeliner on behalf of all of us, Jane! And thank you, Anna, for the insight about Iris turning greyish–that was not what I was expecting.
Well, it IS buildable to purple like in the pot, but still somehow different than all the rest of “the family”… Even on Lisa’s video you can see that with Iris she doesn’t just use her fingertips like with others, but layers with brush as liner. She also mentioned something like “satiny versus shimmery”, but I was too driven to get the purple shade to pay close attention *facepalm here* 🙂
Hmm that’s interesting that the pigment is not working in the same way as the others. I’m sure it will look wonderful however you wear it 🙂
I gonna try it all, Jane! Nothing (ok, nearly nothing) I love more than right nice even purple on the violet side. Just was surprised to find this different behavior of that one shadow – while all the rest doing amazingly easy and even blending. But I’m not giving up!
I checked your video/reel on the ‘gram, and all the shades look great on you! When my bank account recovers in 2023, I hope to treat myself to Titania or Viola. I have Anjelica and Diana and enjoy them both.
Oh thank you Arpita – I just don’t think you can go wrong.
I need her to stop with these, I love them ALL it is RIDICULOUS I’m gonna go BROKE!
haha!
I had cressida in my basket to buy & took it out. I’m really regretting it now – it looks great on you Jane.
thank you Dee!
I have Bianca and Emily and love them. I think I’ll be adding these to my collection, along with the lovely brown one she does (can’t remember the name lol). I need to use up my beloved Stila Kitten and Grace shimmer and glows first though! Emma x
They’re just great aren’t they – have yet to come across someone who doesn’t like them!
I love the look of these and the Cressida was just the sort of colour I have been looking for. Thank you Jane! I have ordered.
oh great! hope you enjoy!
