[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I was so impressed with the quality of these shadows in the Huda Beauty Wild Obsessions Palettes that I dug out an old Huda palette to see if the brand has changed supplier. The exact supplier isn’t listed but they’re still made in China (who produces some incredible quality products) so I’m not absolutely sure – all I know is in a blind test I’d swear it was Pat McGrath. They’re not droppy, they’re incredibly pigmented and the gleam from the metallics is second to none.
There are four differing palettes in the ASOS exclusive series – this is Chameleon. The front of the palettes have a shifting 3-D image. Before you say, oh no, not another sunset collection, that violet colour is one of the most beautiful shades I’ve seen this year. As you can see, the palette is split into five mattes and four metallics – in the past I would say I have found Huda mattes to be rather dusty but that’s not the case here.
The Jaguar palette is basically my wardrobe with a surprise lavender shot which has got me immediately searching for a lilac/purple/lavender sweater to add because now I see them all together, I can’t not. Jaguar has more metallic in it than Chameleon with five vs four matte.
I’d like to move the violet shade across from Chameleon to Jaguar but apart from that, these are just lovely and going straight in my keep drawer (and it’s been a while since any palette has gone in there). I appreciate the finishes – a bit of snakeskin and jungle-type patterning to further the ‘wild’ theme. The other palettes in the collection are Python in with a green theme and Tiger which is all golds and browns.
So, here is Chameleon! And…
..here is Jaguar. I think they’re pretty good value at £27 each and particularly with Jaguar, immediately conjure up a mood rather than appear as just another set of colours. I could wear every single colour in Jaguar and I’m instantly transported to black polo necks and faux leather trousers with a snuggly coat and a nice glass of Merlot waiting. You can find them HERE, non-affiliate HERE.

They are sooooo beautiful… Jaguar (and indeed that violet from Chameleon) is also right straight up my district, but I got HUDA’s big Mercury, got two big Nabla palettes and even Tropical from Natasha Denona (ok, this one goes to my daughter, but…) – and just two eyeeeeeeeees… Do they sell any food supplement to subdue lust for (not really needed) makeup? I’ll buy a yearly supply… :)))
I know – I have a feeling we might have to evolve to have more eyes just to use up our make up!
OOOOOHMMMMM…. *sitting in lotus pose and working on opening the third eye* :)))
