[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] CHANEL minis are practically walking out of stores – within moments of me buying the Water Tint mini at Sephora, it had sold out. However, they do still have stock of the CHANEL Illuminating Oil for Face, Body & Hair which is something.
There’s definitely something a bit magical about this shimmering oil – it lights up the skin so perfectly. Even if you never associate with any form of body ‘glitter’ I think you’d probably get along with this oil. If it was a sunny day today, which it certainly is not, I’d be very tempted to put some in the ends of my hair. In fact, I’m excited to do so if and when we get our summer back!
There is a slight shimmer effect in terms of twinkling but it’s more the way it adds radiance that I like. Remember when there was such a fad for highlighting the shins? Does that still exist? All I can think of is Naomi Campbells legs looking like liquid on a talk show and feeling that it was an absolute goal although it really wouldn’t occur to me to highlight my legs now. I love it for a touch on the shoulders, in the hair and on the arms. It really makes me think of holidays and the after-beach going out prep in some gorgeous Mediterranean evening light… sigh :-). It has a light, floral fragrance but not something that overwhelms.
I mean, that is lovely, isn’t it? Even on this dull day. You may not feel like forking out £48 for the travel size but if you do, it’s HERE.
