[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I’ve got many happy experiences with Elemis skin care under my belt over the years – it’s one of the few ‘older’ brands that still feels uncomplicated and pleasure focussed. Elemis is now owned by L’Occitane but it doesn’t seem to have changed – it continues to just be itself and I like that.

Elemis Micro Serum

I put myself through a very lovely ‘ritual’ using the Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm (never not an absolute pleasure), the new Micro Serum and the Rose Marine Cream. I know that skin bounces into life with anything new, but really, I felt like I’d had a facial. It was a good reminder of how senses and rituals can be good for the soul as well as the skin. So, the serum. 7000 micro rose droplets in each bottle (no, I haven’t counted!) created by steeping 20 varieties of rose in safflower oil to create the dual phase oil, that’s boosted by Red algae (which apparently gives three times more hydration than hyaluronic acid). It’s a joy on the skin – I can believe the plumping, firming and smoothing claims (tested on 38 people over 4 weeks – and you will need to use it consistently if you’re looking for ‘results’) because if your complexion feels like it’s had a facial every night and morning, that’s got to give some good glow and good karma! It’s one of the few products of late that I’ve thought I’d like to do a longer term trial of but I have a back-log so I don’t think it’s possible. It’s also £90 which is pretty hefty – I am sure that deals will come up on QVC or similar because Elemis is one of those brands that can be generous in discounting. Maybe it’s a wait and see rather than buy it now.

Elemis Rose

A little shout out for the Elemis Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm – a stalwart and a pleasure to use. The brand offers a travel size pot for £13 HERE and I’d snap that up to take away on holiday or a weekend away just for the extra treat of it, but not least because it sears through SPF to leave your skin thoroughly cleansed.
