Melvita Bourbon Geranium
Melvita Bourbon Geranium

Facial sprays are a summer staple in my fridge – Mr BBB complains he can’t find the ketchup for “effing flower sprays”. Thankfully he has never muddled the two – chips and geraniums, anyone?

Melvita Bourbon Geranium Floral Water is new to the floral water collection (if you haven’t, try the Damask Rose HERE) and launches in July. While I don’t think that floral waters really do anything too much in the way of skin care exactly, they are soothing and cooling on hot and bothered skin and more satisfying (and far more skin hydrating) than just spritzing with cold water. Melvita use a steam extraction method which means the formula retains the flower goodness and scent, which is very pretty with a hint of geraniums.

The floral waters can be used to help set your make up (again, handy on a hot day) but I’m recoiling from the suggestion of using it as a hair mist – clearly nobody at Melvita knows what happens to hair on a hot day if you add water to it (frizz spectacular).

Floral waters are also extremely handy to keep by the bed, especially if you have hot flushes at night; rose, lavender and chamomile are good picks to soothe you back to sleep.

Melvita Bourbon Geranium Floral Water will be £16 and is a Feelunique exclusive from July.
