[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] As part of their anti-pollution cleansing collection, Chanel’s exfoliator is gently sloughing without feeling scrubby.

CHANEL Le Gommage

In general, I find Chanel’s skin care performs better than other luxury counterparts – I can’t think I’ve ever had a product I didn’t get along with. They are formulated to look and feel luxurious and they sure do! This is a jojoba microbead exfoliator in a gel-cream base. The beads are rounded so you won’t get any sharpness but they’re plentiful enough that you can feel them as you work them into the skin leaving it smoother and more soft.

The added element is the anti-pollution – violet micro-algae which is added to help with cellular respiration. In very basic terms, cellular respiration is a process that converts energy from oxygen molecules to a state that allows skin to release waste products – i.e. pollution. It’s one of those things that you can’t see or feel is there or happening so you either trust the process or you don’t. Also added is marine spring water – said to help remineralise. The upshot though is a very pleasant user experience – it’s delicately scented although has been tested on sensitive skin – put the work of massaging generously in and you’ll feel the benefit of silkier skin. It’s £39 HERE, (free postage) non affiliate HERE, although you might want to shop around – I’ve had a quick look and it’s out of stock in many places (Boots and John Lewis) but there are postage charges for other sites so it’s as broad as it is long.
