[unpaid/sample] So far, so good for this brand that embraces make up for everyone. I’m not a fan of ‘make up for older women’ because there’s no such thing really – wear what you want in the way you want and that’s fine. However, without wishing to go down the doom route, it’s often the case that as you get older, your lashes aren’t as full or long as they used to be, it may be that you’ve had short and sparse lashes all your life, or it may be a combination. I certainly notice it with mine and actually one of my lash lines has gone quite bonkers with a little section sprouting in all directions.
Thankfully, mascara exists – in any format you want. Longer, thicker, darker, curlier, spikier – you name it, it exists. 19/99 Lash Tint Mascara is a dial down for those who prefer a more natural lash look but don’t want to be bare entirely. It gives all the desired colour depth you need to enhance the eyes without any of the clumping or loading. If you do have sparse or short lashes and can’t get to grips with the intensity of regular mascaras because they’re just too much (and they easily can be) Lash Tint is good at giving you a defined lash fringe that emphasises your eyes without overloading.
Thanks to the tiniest brush I think I’ve used (smaller, I think, than Surratt’s), every single lash gets coated from root to tip – it’s an absolute breeze to apply and helped me to get my little tangled cluster in more of a uniform shape. I like it a lot – it’s ticking the boxes for pared back beauty as well as addressing an issue that actually exists. It’s launching on the 17th of June into Cult Beauty for £14.

I couldn’t agree more on “makeup for older women” not being a thing – personally my skin has hardly changed at all so I don’t feel that it necessarily reflects my age (49), and I can’t say my lashes have either!
Yes, I just get really bored with the whole age-shaming marketing thing. I think possibly our taste in make up changes but we don’t really need ‘special’ products. Don’t start me on menopause beauty products either – literally another nonsense and I don’t care what ‘scientific research’ says!
Ooooh I am now really hoping that this is like my old love Mary Quant Lash Tint
Never been able to find anything similar.
Loved that mascara!
I wonder – I never used that so fingers crossed for you!
My invisible lashes and I like the sound of this, thank you Jane 🙂
Also, whenever I see anti-aging BS, I want to just shout at the perpetrators that actually growing old is a privilege to be intensely appreciated!…(Growing up, on the other hand, is entirely optional :-P)
Please may I never grow up!
Hey Jane. Unless you’ve changed your age/hair – I think someone might be half-inching your copy. https://fynefettle.com/19-99-lash-tint-mascara-review/
Thanks for flagging this up Carrie – these sites are an absolute pain (it’s based in India) and they just dip into my feed and take content. Nowadays I don’t do anything about (it’s complex and lengthy to get hidden IP addresses identified and the material removed) because Google understands to rank it as copied and mine as the original source. Infuriating but I always appreciate having them flagged up so that I can keep an eye x
No worries – I did post on that site to say ‘this isn’t your content’ so perhaps they’ll think twice next time. I’ve ordered up the 19/99 tint anyway + their gloss and a couple of pencils), so if you’re speaking to the 19/99 PR then you can say ‘folk trust me and spend their cash on my recommendations’ (because we do – looks at Gucci Rene at my desk ; 0 ) .
Keep on trucking.
Ooh Carrie – do you love Rene? Thanks for leaving them a comment – perhaps I will too…
