[unpaid/sample] So, I’ve had a few days to get to know this product – and especially when my skin is not behaving in terms of moisture. I used the REN Overnight Balm to great success and while Murad Murad Intense Recovery Cream isn’t the same in terms of texture (not as loose) and its primary function is to reduce redness while intensely hydrating. I don’t have skin redness as a general rule but am having bouts of dryness particularly on my neck.

Murad Intense Recovery Cream

While the Murad Intense Recovery Cream does act immediately to relieve dryness, its other claims won’t really kick in for a couple of weeks and I’d suggest that it’s best for very dry skin or skin that’s been stressed by wind, cold or hormones. The Murad brand talks a lot about ‘stressed’ skin which I find quite hard to define – but really, it means (I think) skin that is reactive to all the elements mentioned above by being patchy, parched or flaring. In which case, the Intense Recovery Cream is just the ticket. I’ve also been applying this to my chest which bizarrely is redder than it should be with some dry patches.

The other product that arrived alongside Murad Intense Recovery Cream is the Revitalixir Recovery Serum and I am always a bit obsessed by spheres. My ideal scenario would be to empty the entire pot and squish them one by one. I know. However, while it’s not a new product, it’s new to me and from surface testing, I feel really quite impressed by the instant life it brings to the complexion. Those spheres carry a bit of illumination which is gorgeous on bare skin and the formula has worked well for me under tinted moisturiser and I feel it’s brought a bit more vibrancy to the overall effect.  Longer term effects should be more tone and reduced dark circles under the eyes. It’s really such an easy thing to use every morning under make up and it’s ideal for anyone who doesn’t like a heavy moisturiser but still needs hydration.

Murad Intense Recovery Cream

It’s quite a balance for a product to give luminosity that shows without looking as though you’ve all-over highlighted but this product achieves it well. I’ve found the Murad Intense Recovery Cream for £46 HERE (usual price is £68) so if it sounds like the product for you I’d grab it as quick as you can but there are loads of offers on the Murad site if you have more than one thing to buy. Revitalxir is £48 instead of £73 HERE.  Non-affiliate link is HERE.
