Incoming: Tatcha Skin Care UK

[unpaid/sample] A few months ago, I posted about the Tatcha Rice Polish because randomly, I was sent a few items from the Replenishing Collection way before I knew that the collection was heading our way. I had a little pot of The Dewy Skin Cream – long gone and The Dewy Serum is almost finished. If I’m not doing a test of skin care over a period of weeks, there are certain products I come back to when I’m free to choose and I have chosen these many times. So, the news that Tatcha.co.uk is about to hit our shores (tatcha.co.uk) is extremely good if your beauty purse is healthy. It’s a luxury range so expect prices to reflect that.

I’ll kick off with my recommendations if you do want to try it out starting with The Rice Polish. My little pot of this is almost gone – I’ve eked it out – but I hadn’t realised I had a sample pot so when I did a price check I was honestly horrified that it’s £60. But now I’m in the weird position of thinking, now that I have the actual size pot, that it seems more or less reasonable! But of course, that’s a lot still. A little goes a very long way with this rice and papaya enzyme mix – the brand recommends half a teaspoon per go. You pour the fine grains into the palm of your (wet) hand, press your hands together and massage around your (damp) skin. The polishing result is a beautiful, softening and silkening enzyme exfoliation that it’s so active that you’ll feel a tingle but is active enough that you will feel the result straight away.

I was immediately won over by the spatula arrangement on the top of the lid of The Silk Cream, a firming and brightening moisturiser. It’s so light in a gel-cream formula and yet imparts an impressive level of hydration. You can use it day or night but I have been using it at night and it’s working very nicely indeed – my skin still feels moisturised by morning.

Again, and I’ve noticed this across all the Tatcha products, a little goes a long way. You really can use it quite sparingly and still get the benefits. The brand uses silk and their own complex of ferments called Hadasei-3.

There are three key rituals – The Firming Collection (dry skin), The Replenishing Collection (combination/dry) and The Clarifying Collection (combination/oily) but there are separate products such as a brightening serum and lip balms that don’t fall into any particular ritual but can be used as and when you like.

I have both the lip balms here (being a lip balm addict) which I’ll try out in due course but the launch date is 4th May (may the 4th be with you.. sorry) with everything going into SpaceNK from 9th.
