Elizabeth Arden Advanced Light Ceramide Capsules

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] It’s ages since I’ve seen anything from Elizabeth Arden so these new Advanced Light Ceramide Capsules are very welcome. All Elizabeth Ceramide capsule contents feel amazing on the skin – so smooth and silkening – and these are no exception. I’ve only had a few days with them so it’s a very top line review.

This time around, the ceramide capsules are indicated for oily and combination skin types. I will say that it feels counterproductive to add what feels like an oil serum to oily skin but it certainly does take down shine. It’s really all about pore perfecting so you do get that typical blur feel that pore perfecting products tend to come with. In terms of whether it actually helps the look of pores, I’d say yes, particularly if you let it settle and then apply your usual base, but as with anything, it’s not going to get rid of the sight of them completely. However, unlike blur products, this is skin care so there will be longer term benefits.

Elizabeth Arden’s USP is ceramide products – they use skin-identical phytoceramides, cyclopeptides (peptides are amino acid chains – cyclopeptides refer to a specific molecular structure that is thought to be more effective at delivering to the skin) and hemisqualane (lower molecular weight than squalane so feels lighter and penetrates more easily). Over time, you should see improvement of radiance and skin clarity – instantly, you see a smoother, more hydrated complexion. They’re £48 for 60 capsules HERE – I found that I didn’t need entirely the full capsule for my face and neck so you could just have a little pot to squeeze the excess into and eke it out a bit that way, using it up as you go along rather than waiting til the jar is empty. So, the upshot is, in my view the Elizabeth Arden Advanced Light Ceramide Capsules are best for older, oily or combination skin types.
