[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I have completely changed what I was going to post about today because yesterday a friend dropped round this beautiful bunch of mimosa and I couldn’t not take about a million pictures of it. It’s the perfect partner to the new shades of Plant Power from Nails Inc.

So, the new shades are Time For A Reset, And Breathe and Free Time Is Me Time. I’m a big fan of a neon toe when the sun comes out – it just adds that special burst of colour to anything you’re wearing. It’s a funny thing that you can look forward intensely to hot weather clothes and yet when the time comes, the comfort and security of a jumper is something you long to get back into. I’m not great at the seasonal change – summer sadness is a thing and usually it hits me by making me indecisive about clothes, not liking my body much and a general feeling of being out of kilter. It passes – always – but little things, like brighter polishes or a bright shopper for example, help with the transition.

Everyone loves an orange-red shade. I like Time For A Reset particularly because it’s quite a creamy shade that will look amazing on fingers or toes and I’d partner it with a sheer gloss in a similar tone.

Free Time Is Me Time is the most useful colour you’ll ever own. Any neons or paler shades will spring to life far more with a white undercoat which is why I keep whites in my polish collection. This is nicely intense so one coat is all you need as a base but if you’re going for the full white nail, it’s two or three coats for the perfect finish.

If you need a reminder, Nails Inc Plant Power is their vegan collection with a formula that uses plant materials and a recyclable ash wood cap. At £9 each, I think these are a wonderful cheer up for a spring bright mani in front of the TV. They’re HERE, non-affiliate HERE.
