This is the second collection that Ines de la Fressange has created for Uniqlo (last year’s was snapped up – I know that because I snapped most of it!) and it’s aimed at women who want stylish every-day clothes. It’s an extremely well streamlined edit – sharp in look, soft on wear, and classic without being the least bit boring.
At 57 Ines de la Fressange is knocking it out of the park in the style stakes; the collection includes fitted tweed jackets, navy trench coats (with a hidden, warm lining), a white cashmere hoodie (first on my list) and wool blend pea coats. She’s got a little bit of a thing going on for polka dots which I’m not sure I share, but it’s such a tight collection, you could walk in and pick out an outfit in about five minutes flat, confident that it’s all going to co-ordinate.
I love that Uniqlo have redefined the ‘classic’ look with this – it’s truly any-age wear; my daughter could wear this and so could my mum.
The new collection launches today, but items are gradually filtering through in the next couple of months so keep checking back HERE.

Isn’t Ines gorgeous. She always was stunning, of course, and she still is.
This collection looks so good, there are a ew things I really like, so site is bookmarked.
Thanks so much for the heads up on this.
I really like this new blog.
I loved the look of IdlF’s summer collection but it only worked if you’re the same shape as her (ie tall, slender with long slim legs) – nothing fitted me (I’m hour-glass shaped) so I’m not holding out much hope for the winter collection, shame because it looks terrific
I love Ines. She’s such a wonderful example of chic at any age. I’m off to have a peek round her collection and see if I can’t squeeze one or two pieces into the budget.
