Boody Bamboo Clothing

You’re as likely to catch me in a Yurt as you are in full fitness kit – leggings just don’t happen here. Back in the day before slobbing about in your tracksuit got renamed as loungewear, what we wore to lie about the house eating popcorn and watching films was either pyjamas or the aforementioned trackie. Now, downtime can be dressed any way you like because the options to be comfortable are endless.

Boody is one of those brands that is completely adaptable for fitness, sports or the popcorn munching. Whatever you want to do… I’ve been sleeping in mine… but there is comfort clothing and then there is comfort clothing. What I love about this range – and honestly, who knew bamboo could be put to such good use (eco friendly and sustainable) – is that it does the same as my beloved Uniqlo heat-tech and cool-tech in that it adapts to your body temperature. That means it will wick away sweat if needed so you don’t end up damp during a workout or it will preserve heat (- the regulating aspect is one of the reasons I’m finding my tops so comfortable to sleep in while it’s so humid – no waking up all hot).

It’s actually anti-bacterial, possibly not relevant for the popcorn and movie, but if you’re running, cycling or anything like that, it’s going to keep odour to a minimum (useful for festivals where washing facilities aren’t the easiest to get to). Added to that, it stops the sun’s UV rays getting to you. I really didn’t know that fabric could be this high-tech – particularly not an eco fabric. If you do want to buy it, I’d suggest going a size up – I have small and I’m a 10/12 and it’s a little bit on the snug side for my personal taste (I prefer things a little looser). There’s so much to say about this fabric… but I don’t want this post to run to a mile long so you can find more information about Boody Bamboo Clothing HERE.
