[unpaid/sample] I love the scent of coconut – it’s just a happy scent that’s always uplifting – and I quite often buy coconut water (although I seem to remember there was some marketing nonsense that it’s more hydrating than water and I fail to see how that can be). Years ago, when Vita Coco first came on the market, I used to receive Nic & Sam’s PR packages (nobody knows who got mine!) so I got to know the brand in a very quirky way. Now, they’ve moved into hair care and so far, so very good.
I used the Repair shampoo for damaged, brittle hair and while mine doesn’t quite fall into that category, I have had it dyed quite recently and it was definitely in need of some shine.
I then used the Nourish Conditioner, and it turns out my hair absolutely loves this combination. It’s soft, shiny and swishy over and above my usual routine so I know I’ll use to the very last drop. There’s a good level of actual coconut water – it’s second on the ingredient list after water – and my hair smells very lightly coconutty this morning. There are a few nice oils in the mix which help with the softening effect as well as wheat bran extract which hair always likes. These are big bottles at 400ml so I was surprised to find that they’re £9.99 each which seems like very good value – even better if you opt for a bundle. You can find the collection HERE and it’s a high recommend from me.
