[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] As soon as I saw this Vitamin C infused detox, I wanted to try it. Long time fan of Elasticizer, which is what brings most people to this brand to start with, Philip Kingsley is a trusted brand. Actually, it used to be a regular rumour, before adverts were more heavily monitored, that models for other hair brands would be sent off to Philip for an intensive treatment pre-shoot to ensure that mega-watt shine and sleekness that Elasticizer gives.

Super clean, swishy hair is such a nice feeling and that’s certainly the result from the detox treatment which comes in the form of a Vitamin C Powder to which you add water, shake for a minute or two for the jelly to form and then add liberally to hair and scalp. Your scalp can benefit just as much as your hair from antioxidants and from ridding itself of build-up, hard water minerals and general pollutants. The powder is formed from panthenol for long-lasting moisture, ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and amino acid, Betaine.

It’s a pre-shampoo treatment, so I followed up with Philip Kingsley Body Building Weightless Shampoo and Conditioner which of course gave a lovely wash and condition. The ‘weightless’ formula gave my hair ample opportunity not to get weighed down all over again and I definitely noticed a lighter feel – the movement of freshly and thoroughly cleansed hair is gorgeous especially in hot weather. I will use the detox again, that’s for sure and I noticed that the following couple of washes also benefitted in terms of a better, shinier and swishier result.

I don’t think that I particularly need a body building shampoo but it was a wonderful re-introduction to this brand’s nurturing and finessed hair cleansing power. I’ll use it all up, I know, and gladly so.

I really loved the Elasti-Treatment – a 5-in-1 pre-styling treatment that makes hair feel supple and hydrated. I definitely noticed a difference between washes where I used it and those when I didn’t in terms of shine and softness. Normally, I’m low maintenance when it comes to hair but this stuff is irresistible when you see what it can do. It comprises Phytolastin (a natural elastin, just like in skin care), Babassu oil and Olive Oil, both high in essential fatty acids. It’s a high recommend from me for hair that looks better with it than without. It’s £35 HERE for 150ml which I estimate to be several months worth of use if you’re washing two or three times a week. The Detox treatment is £28 with 4 sachets and a measure bottle included HERE, and the Body Building Shampoo and Conditioner are £10.50 and £20.50 respectively, HERE.  Non-affiliate link is HERE. There’s a free Weatherproof Duo (good for chlorine or salty hair) with purchases over £50 at the time of writing.
