[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I’m always keen to travel light – carry on is absolutely the goal as I can’t think of anything worse than waiting for luggage to appear on the carousel of doom. Will it? Won’t it? If it will, how long will it take? If it doesn’t, what do we do? It’s just SO stressful!
I’ve greatly enjoyed using MAC Stack Mascara so this travel size is a no-brainer – it’s £14 HERE and will outlast your holiday by a long way. When we went to Delft via City Airport the sizes were irrelevant because they have new scanners there that allow you take whatever size you want but the catch is, unless your destination airport has the same scanners, you can’t bring it back. But, that’s handy for sun screen and after sun which you’ll probably use up anyway and doesn’t need to come back with you. MAC Stack is a good and reliable mascara – the first link I’ve used is for the bigger more volumizing brush but my personal preference is for the skinnier brush option HERE. Clinique’s Take The Day Off Balm in this handy little pot is perfect for taking off sunscreen and make up as well as general skin cleansing. I take it along with a little cloth because I feel so bad for making the hotel flannels dirty with mascara. It’s 30ml and costs £11 HERE. John Masters Natural Shampoo is perfect for clearing away chlorine and just ensuring that your hair is presentable without stripping it. I love the scent of this – just super-clean and it’s made for dry hair so you might get away with no conditioner. It’s £7.65 for 60ml HERE.
This is the holiday make up look I made with just three make up products – CHANEL Water Tint, Elf Monochromatic Stick in Guava Shimmer and MACstack Mascara.
I’ve included the Milk Make Up Contour Stick in Toasted – sold out everywhere (arghhhh!) – but may well come back into stock soon. I don’t contour often – in fact, very rarely, but this is a very good one. It really is that tiny and it’s still £22 HERE which made my jaw drop a bit, but if you can’t live without contour, you can’t. It’s just marginally slimmer than e.l.f. Monochramatic Stick in Glimmering Guava HERE which is amazing value at £5 and is on my cheeks, lips and just a tiny smear on my lids just to waken them up a bit. So, I’m wearing Chanel Water Tint, Elf Mono Stick and MACstack mini and literally nothing else. I quite often use decanting sets – I like Sephora’s Weekend Kit for £7.60 HERE.

Love-love-love travel sizes! Even without travelling – standard sample sachets nearly never enough to thoroughly test anything (well, cleanser or exfoliator may be), deciding if you wanna full-size product… Btw, Huda Beauty legit lashes mascara mini is also great – gives our favorite “big-n-messy” look (but can be kept more or less natural – it has double wand with one side for lengths and curl) and comes not just in black but in very, very beautiful juicy ultraviolet blue (with your eyes must be a bomb!). I actually use it on the regular daily basis – it lasts 3 months easily (and I don’t like mascaras to last forever). Ah, you made me think about lovely 3-days Prague adventure I had with my parents just before the blast of corona – just a compact sport/weekend bag on my shoulder, plane in – plane out, no waiting… 🙂 Wanna do it again…
They’re just so useful – and, you don’t have to save them for travel – I like them just for ‘trying out’.
I love travel sizes! My husband hosts festivals over the summer so my son and I are always going away for the weekend with him, so they are very useful. I’m using some of the mini size stuff that I got in a beauty advent calender at Christmas. I also decant my favourite shampoos and conditioners etc into smaller containers. Emma x
Advent calendars are so useful for that!
