[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I’ve been slow to review the Charlotte Tilbury Super Radiance Resurfacing Facial because I’ve been trialling other skin care and didn’t want to over use peels and skew results. But, as promised on the tin, this really does deliver a smooth as silk finish with skin looking brighter straight away.
Interesting that CT has gone the same route as Drunk Elephant in including a tiny size product that compliments the main one. As ever, there a million and one claims – in fact the packaging is so busy it’s like a press release on a box.
The formula is really primed and balanced to give a great result – I’d caution you not to do the full 20 minutes at first go… start with five or six minutes and work up if you want to. There’s glycolic, salicylic, bio agave acid and their own ingredient Exfolactive which comes from prickly pear. So you are going to get some good enzymatic exfoliation.

It’s surprisingly non-drying – your skin won’t feel stripped at all (or at least, mine didn’t). Again, as usual, this brand is very refined in formulations – polyglutamic acid (claimed to be four times more hydrating than hyaluronic) does the heavy hydration lifting, while hyaluronic, resurrection leaf, avocado oil, glycerin, aloe vera and allantoin bring up the rear very effectively. It also smells lovely which was unexpected.
Providing you can tolerate acids, I can’t fault this really – gorgeous texture, excellent softening, revitalizing and brightening – a little follow up with the included serum and you’ll feel like you have actually been for a facial. It’s a good one to have in stock for days when you just want to own the glow! Hi Jane, I’ve had the Drunk Elephant TLC for just over 2 weeks now and am really enjoying it – how do you think the two compare having tried them both?
Good question – I really feel that at this level, they’re all much of a muchness – I just compared it in the previous comment to Elemis Enzyme Peel but a bit more supercharged. They’re not fundamentally dissimilar in construction so the results, in peel terms, will be very similar if not exactly the same.

Do you have a feeling for how it compares with other similar recent product launches (e.g. Babyfacial or Biossance)? Or with the much-loved (by me, anyway) Exfolikate? Am interested because this is at a lower price point than DE or Kate.
I felt it was very similar in effect to both actually – but milder than Exfolikate. There are no physical exfoliants so it’s all enzymatic – actually it reminded me of a more charged Elemis enzyme peel.
