[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Of all the Jo Malone London fragrances, I’d say that English Pear & Freesia isn’t amongst my favourites – I’m not particularly drawn to freesia so I’m searching for the fruitiness of this and there’s definitely something lightly autumnal about pears. It’s an existing fragrance of course, but it’s had new life breathed into it with some quirky twists like this gorgeous pear shaped box.

Jo Malone London English Pear & Freesia

I mean, the box has me sold already (good job it’s not prickly pear & freesia) but there are less pricy options with soap (£18), a mini fragrance pairing set with Myrrh & Tonka (£38) and a room spray (£40) as well as two fragrance sizes – 30ml, 100ml and 50ml (£55, £110, £78) HERE. The blend is bright and light – a real ray of luminosity – and the pear note is comforting and familiar. To me it’s more of a get-up-and-goer than a snuggle-downer so great for sluggish mornings when it’s hard to get yourself motivated. I’m sure the box is limited edition (free with purchase) but if you’re buying anything on line from Jo Malone London, always check the extras – at the moment there is a free letter charm on any 100ml fragrance, and when I bought a fragrance as a wedding present I had it engraved with the couple’s initials. There are lots of ways to add individuality.

It is coming up to that prematurely festive season of advent calendars – I’m sounding the warning klaxon because they’re arriving at my door already and I’ll be starting to review this week. The Jo Malone London Advent sells out every single year and sells out fast so if you feel it’s something that might be of interest, please do sign up to the early access email HERE because it’s the only guarantee of sourcing one without stress.
