[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I’ve mentioned before about brands that focus on a younger audience accidentally making the perfect formulas for older skin – here’s a great case in point. I’m super impressed with this ‘halo effect’ liquid that will knock the far more expensive versions into a cocked hat. It gives your skin radiance and there are several ways you can use it.
As you can see, the liquid has a pearlised element which works very well as a glow boost by mixing half and half with your foundation or a third and two thirds with your tinted moisturiser. By all means, play about with mix quantities but that’s how I’ve tested and used it (you can see it being applied and worn on my Instagram channel @britbeautyblog) and it’s suiting me perfectly.
I have two shades here – 3 and 2 – although there are 8 to choose from going pale to deep. The formula is infused with hyaluronic acid and squalane so it feels very gentle on the skin and mixed perfectly with Bourjois Healthy Mix, Chanel XXX and bareMinerals Complexion Rescue. The liquid is subtle but brings illumination to the skin with a little light reflection. If you’ve bought matte foundations and now hate them, you could probably bring them to life with this. But, it’s not over-kill.
Bottom is Shade 3 (light/medium) and top is Shade 2 (fair/light) – I can wear both so that tells you they run quite deep in tone although shade 3 feels a more perfect fit. You can use the elf Halo Glow as precise point highlighter as well of course – or mixed with moisturiser for no make-up days and even add to a creme or mousse blush to give it more oomph.
I’ve screen-grabbed from the IG reel (shot in ‘cinematic’ – blurs the background so handy if you haven’t tidied) so you get the idea how it is on my skin. At £14 I think elf Halo Glow is very good value – 31.5ml – not least because it’s so multi-functional. It’s HERE.

Similar ballpark to Charlotte’s Flawless Filter? Or a different beast altogether? Sounds great either way, I think I may need it!
Similar – less concentrated perhaps.
Might try this, I don’t want to shine, just to look a bit less ‘dull’!
Need a sample .heard good things about it
I’ve been trying to get it for months but the lighter shades are like gold dust! Impossible to find anywhere!!
Boots seems to have shade 1 and shade 3 if that’s any help? x
