[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad/priorad] Glad to see that oily skin is being properly targeted with this new cleanser from Tatcha. I’ve used it on my own skin which isn’t oily and would do so again for a more brightening cleanse because it’s very good at leaving skin feeling and looking freshened and perky.

Tatcha The Deep Cleanse Review

I was given this stone at a Tatcha event and I think its one of my favourite ‘gifts’ ever – it’s so simple and completely perfect with all its natural imperfections. It’s lumpy and bumpy but completely beautiful. Tatcha The Deep Cleanse contains luffa fruit as a mild exfoliant and uses silk derived amino acids so you get a very gentle and softening cleanse. The thing about both The Deep Cleanse and The Rice Wash is that they have a certain amount of ‘tack’ to them that feels they are really working at your skin to pull away grime and oil.

Tatcha The Deep Cleanse Review

It’s a very different cleansing experience to oils or balms. The Deep Cleanse foams (softly) when water comes into the equation but I worked it on damp skin around my nose without foaming first and added a bit more water to get the foam for the rest of my face. You’ll find that the luffa particles are apparent and look like you’ve exfoliated away a load of skin cells but you haven’t – what you’ll end up with is the most incredibly soft skin post cleanse. It’s quite remarkable. With The Rice Wash you get a slight residue feeling and I’d say don’t be tempted to rinse and rinse – just add your moisturiser as normal and the sensation completely disappears. I’ve been using The Rice Wash for several months on and off and it feels like a ‘treat’ cleanse rather than a daily necessity.

Tatcha The Deep Cleanse Review

For myself, I’m ignoring the ‘oily’ skin label – the end feel is so wonderful I’m not going to deprive myself of it and I don’t find it stripping or harsh at all – the opposite, in fact. I’ve just spotted that there is an offer for a ‘Lucky Bag’ with a £100 spend which means you will get up to £200 worth of extra product (not specified). That spend is quite easily done with this brand because it’s premium prices but it might be worth banding with a buddy to reach the price and share out the goodies afterwards. The Deep Cleanse is £41 HERE (and is packaged differently on the and Rice Wash is also £41 HERE. I’m already a fan of this brand – especially the Rice Powder, £60 HERE and the Kissu Lip Balm, £25 HERE which is just a joy to use. To claim your Lucky Bag, use code LUCKY23.
