[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] So, I’ll start by saying this is an absolute win. Part of the reason I don’t wear concealer is because I hate the way they rest in fine lines – I don’t mind having the lines but I do mind if they’re exacerbated unnecessarily. Givenchy Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Concealer is that miracle of formulas that is fluid enough to act and feel like a light moisturiser under your eyes but with enough pigment to give a brightened effect. I am sold!
It comes in 24 shades so there should be something for everyone – the bonus is that over time it should make inroads into any puffiness or congestion. It has a slightly cool feel when you apply and you really don’t need very much at all. It blends seamlessly – ideally I would have used a make up sponge but didn’t have one to hand so used my fingertips and that was perfectly okay – and while the pay off for such a fluid and blendable formulation is that you won’t get a full coverage, there is no doubt that my under eye area looked brighter and lighter, particularly when I applied tinted moisturiser afterwards. It reminds me of my favourite ever concealer – Diorskin Nude Concealer circa 2010. They’re both LVMH so perhaps the formula has come full circle.
Nasturtium, glycerin and cornflower are the exciting additions to this – but mostly, it’s the fresh feel, the not-drying-into-fine-lines (or at least, only microscopically – that magnifying mirror of doom shows the tiniest of trace that would only be apparent if someone approaches your face with a magnifying glass) and the lightness on the skin.
From bottom to top: N120, C180 and W110. It’s pricy at £36.50 HERE but money well spent if you struggle with concealers. By its nature, it’s particularly good for older skin.
