[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] All Charlotte Tilbury products launch with a huge marketing splash so it’s even more important to bypass the hype and get to the basic facts about each one. I’ve been using the new Push Up Lashes Mascara for a week or so – I’ll say straight away that I love it. It’s exactly the right sort of brush for me – if you like long and spiky as opposed to fat and fulsome, it’s for you.

You’re supposed to use it with the flat side to load and lift the lashes by pushing up from the root (the benefit of this type of brush is that you can get to the root really easily especially if you have short lashes) and then turn the brush around to the bristle side for extra volume and comb.

It’s not a great picture but that is exactly the kind of separation I’m looking for in a mascara. That’s one coat by the way – it gets heavier looking the more you apply but hasn’t (yet) ended up clumpy. I don’t use it per instructions – I think you can be intuitive about mascara application – do it the way it works for you knowing that the grippy wand will coat every lash.

It IS possible to over-load so don’t do the pumping action with the brush in the tube – just take it as is and re-coat if necessary. I like it for short lashes that need extra length and plenty of dark black definition and for those of us (including me) that can be a bit clumsy with mascara – it doesn’t seem to have the difficulty factor in application that fat brushes can have. It’s £23 and a nice buy, especially if you’ve dialled down your make-up look and want to bring back a fuller lash fringe to peep over those masks. It’s HERE and non affiliate HERE. Oh, I should add that the last is excellent – I did experience a bit of end of day flaking but I can’t, hand on heart, say I hadn’t rubbed my eyes. Finally – I’m linking to SpaceNK because I swear that the CT site doesn’t have it til tomorrow and they’re already boasting a 40k+ wait list … it will sell out, but of course be back in stock at some point. If you’re in a hurry for it, go now.
