[Unpaid/sample] I wasn’t going to do a second post today because I’ve had no fashion finds and have got far too used to short weeks with bank holidays :-). But this CHANEL Nail Looks Set arrived at my door yesterday afternoon and I’ve never put polish on my nails so fast! I am 100% in on this – it’s flashy and fabulous.

CHANEL Nail Looks Set

This limited edition nail set contains Le Vernis Incendiaire, Le Vernis Insomniaque and Le Gel Top Coat, plus one sheet of 45 nails stickers in black and one in white.

Readers have been asking me when this set would be released for at least two weeks and it hasn’t disappointed the anticipation I don’t think. There is no way I can get the effect in such a polished way as the press release and I’ll flag up that you do at least have to be comfortable with painting your own nails to enjoy this because it is a little bit fiddly.

The nail lacquers are quick to dry – I used two coats before taking the stickers off with tweezers to apply. I am not sure this is the very best way to do it because it means you may get a tiny buckle in the side of the sticker. I had better luck peeling it manually (fiddly but do-able) and then picking up with the tweezers to apply to the nail. The sticker lays down really nicely, but does need some smoothing just to ensure it’s fully adhered (parts where it isn’t show a bit white). So, crucial that your polish coats are fully dry so you can smooth over (finger is fine) before top-coating. I’d do a practice finger first.

This is not as sharp as I’d like it to be but I’m on my own today with nobody to take pictures of my hand for me. I really do love this – heading up to Selfridges right now (to return something) and hoping that someone notices my lovely nails. It’s not cheap – of course – at £87 HERE but I’ve already seen this set on Ebay for £250.
