[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] My perceptions of leave-in conditioners still lie in the time they became a ‘thing’. I think in the early 2000’s but please correct me if I’m wrong. I never found them to be anything other than awful – too heavy and too much for my hair not to look dull and laden. With the odd exception (Aveda being one, which I love) they’re not products I gravitate towards. However, textures and formulas have improved beyond recognition although I think there are still some horrors lurking out there.

Ouai Leave In Conditioner

It comes with a spray nozzle and I’d suggest that you don’t spray directly onto your hair. Spray into your hand and apply through the lengths that way. You’d use it instead of your regular conditioner, straight after you’ve towel dried freshly shampoo’d hair. To be sprayable, the consistency has to be loose – it’s not watery but more like a light lotion and very easy to apply without over-applying. The formula is an amino acid blend with Vitamin E that left my hair feeling soft without being fly-away, silky and hydrated. It’s done everything it needs to do – I used it last night and have all the swish anyone could wish for this morning! I find hair washing an absolute chore so I like the way this cuts out the conditioning stage to a mere spritz-and-go. I didn’t need to use much at all – maybe six spritzes into my hands so I think this bottle will last for ages. It’s £24 at SpaceNK HERE.
