[unpaid/samples/affiliate/ad] Some of the best try me and mini-sets appear around this time of year – I’m bundling up three sets I’ve received recently into one post but will kick off with the Moroccanoil Magical Mini set because it features their forthcoming hair and body mist – if you love the scent of their oil, this will be very welcome.
The Marvellous Minis tin contains a tiny size Moroccanoil Treatment Oil and a Fragrance Mist, which is a kind of amber floral. I definitely picked up the same vanilla notes that I get from Moroccanoil products but it’s not obviously listed. The mist also contains argan oil (it’s not oily!) so there’s no fear of drying out your hair. This is one, I think, for anyone who already knows and loves this brand – the scent is quite distinctive and very much part of its appeal – OR for anyone curious to try it for the first time. It’s £14.95 HERE and might even make a good stocking filler. Non-affiliate HERE. It’s actually only this set that you can get hold of the mist – it’s otherwise not available as a stand alone product yet.
This set of four skin care items from new brand, Cultured, that works with your skin’s microbiome. I featured it when it first came out a few months ago but as a quick reminder, the founder, Rob Calcraft, also co-founded REN back in the day. There’s a cleansing balm, a serum, a mask and a calming cream.
This try me kit is a mini skin care routine to either change things up or to get to know the brand. It’s £20 HERE. If there’s one word to describe it, it’s balance, so if your skin is acting up or feels out of sorts, this is gentle and easy. The other way to look at it is as a facial in a box. Non-affiliate HERE.
As sometimes happens (and I try not to let it), products have gone before I’ve had time to feature them. So, this gorgeous Tocca mini trio isn’t available anywhere that I feel is a trusted site so I’ve gone over to a duo at Liberty. I like Tocca – it’s always seemed covetable somehow – so I feel happy to point you to the duo below instead but add in an extra picture of the bottles so you can see them out of packaging.
The fragrances are Cleopatra and Florence – both floral led and both dab style 15ml bottles. Florence is the most flowery with gardenia, tuberose and iris, while Cleopatra has grapefruit, jasmine and patchouli. The packaging is much nicer on the duo version if you’re considering gifts and it feels nicely priced at £17 (on offer) at Liberty HERE. Non affiliate HERE. Another good place to look for minis is M&S.

I sometimes feel like a treat, but don’t know which way to turn, so I look on feel uniques samples, there are hundreds to choose from and you can choose 5 for about £12, but they are generous and include fragrance. I wanted to try ‘portrait of a lady’ but didn’t want to pay for a bottle, love it! Also Medic8, if you get a sachet I pierce with a needle, then squeeze the product instead of ripping it’s head off and loosing it all. The consultant at Sisley told me to do that and it lasts a good while! Morrocan oil products are part of the sample, so may mooch over again!!
Great tips! Thank you 🙂
