[unpaid/sample/affiliate/prioradrelationship] My nose always heads straight to any citrus or jasmine notes in any fragrance and sure enough, the bitter orange hits first. I’m not mad about musky scents in general but they’re given such a light touch in this new Ginger Lily White Tea blend that it feels completely right that it’s there.

Elizabeth Arden White Tea Ginger Lily Fragrance

There’s something fresh and bulb-ish about this blend, and along with tea, I can certainly pick up the smoothness of the tonka bean while the ginger is doing a little spicy thing with my nose. My first impression of Elizabeth Arden White Tea Ginger Lily Fragrance is that it’s a wear-anywhere scent – the sort of thing that it is a fail-safe and sits well when you can’t completely decide what perfume you want to wear.

Elizabeth Arden White Tea Ginger Lily Fragrance

There’s a lot to be said for an undemanding scent – one that will just sit with you rather than make any statements or impact other than just for you. In that sense, it’s quite an intimate aroma – it settles to you straight away.  Ginger Lily isn’t actually ginger – its a white flower that has often been compared to honeysuckle so what’s adding the light spice in this mix is cut ginger root. I don’t think the two have to go together but for many, if you buy a ginger lily fragrance you are expecting some kind of ginger element even though it’s no relative. It’s kind of a rub about fragrances in general – you need a botanical encyclopaedia in your head to truly understand all the elements and you should never feel surprised if you don’t recognise a note. I have to Google them sometimes, including ‘earthy mate’ another note in White Tea Ginger Lily. ‘Mate’ is the tea, and earthy is obvious. If you love a tea scent, you’ll definitely find it here, nicely wrapped and presented for a summer scent with a twist. It’s £40 HERE, non-affiliate HERE.
