[purchase/affiliate] It’s interesting that on one of the websites that stocks this there is a lone comment for the Glow Hub Stick Mask that says, ‘it’s cute but doesn’t do the job’ and I think that’s the most succinct and accurate review I’ve ever seen! It is cute and the theory is great – I know that when stick masks first emerged from Japan and Korea, there were plenty of sceptics who felt they weren’t very hygienic. I think perhaps this might apply if you have a break out but otherwise I don’t see the problem.
Perhaps it’s just the one I chose that’s not really effective but saying that, every skin is different. I certainly had a lot of time for Milk Makeup products and they’re all sticks. What I do like about it is the ease of use and that it takes masking to something that can be done almost on the run rather than it being a big faff. There’s nothing sticky or drippy about the formula so you can swing out of bed, apply, make your tea, drink it, wash off with a damp cloth and that’s it.
If anything, it feels a bit dry on the skin which is perhaps where our reviewer was disappointed – I didn’t really feel it did any great level of hydration on me either although I quite liked the peachy scent. Key ingredients are Kaolin, peach extract, coconut water and aloe vera with a dash of hyaluronic. I just don’t see how, with a Kaolin base it can be hydrating – they themselves in further product information say it’s ‘gently’ hydrating. So, we have, I think, a product named by marketing to fill the roster. It is softening, so there’s that. It’s £10 HERE and I feel suitable for the lightest of treatments – it feels a bit like a practice beauty product … if Lucy and Max were 12 I’d let them have a go with it.

Hello Jane!
I saw this item and the first thought that popped up was not about the product, the efficency, the cuteness, but – and I am unfortunatly not at all a very concious person in that area – the incredible needless waste of packaging.
That’s two types of solid packaging – for a mask. It’s become insane for somethin inessential that need not be.
I am still buying lots of needless stuff and not good for the environment, but seeing this item tells me, I have started thinking of not buying single items sometimes, just because of this.
Yes, I think everyone is having a rethink about their impact and how they buy their beauty.
