[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] This is more of a new (about to launch) product alert than a review since I haven’t had a chance to try Origins Ginzing Into The Glow Brightening Serum properly – I’ve used it once. But, since I used Murad Vita C Glycolic Serum (prior ad relationship), I look at these brightening formulas with new (and favourable) eyes.

Origins Ginzing Into The Glow Brightening Serum

It’s launched in the US but doesn’t arrive in the UK til October 1st. I heard something on the radio recently that Estee Lauder (who owns Origins) is under fire for using the word ‘brightening’ and is assessing their use of the word (along with ‘lightening’) so it may be in the future we won’t see products from this brand using the term. I am picturing the Lauder offices littered with Thesauruses as marketing departments desperately search for alternatives.

So, the product uses an AHA/BHA blend with vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid to gradually give skin a smoother texture and more glow. It’s exactly the sort of skin care to use if you’ve dialled down coverage and you want radiance to show. The brand claims to show glow in one shot and I’d say that’s true – but that seems to be down to the serum like texture which leaves a light bounce on the skin initially. The fragrance is lovely and orangey, but you should avoid if you don’t like essential oils as it contains grapefruit, orange and lemon. In the US it’s $44 so I think this will come in at about the £35 mark.
