I’m curious about the heather. Herbal notes and cypress suggest outdoors, moors even? But the amber? I’m intrigued. I must pop in to Jo Malone to smell it.

Jane, if you are smelling something like Play Doh in a fragrance with heliotrope notes don’t doubt yourself because you will be right. Heliotrope has an almondy smell, a lovely almondy, floral smell which can smell like marzipan, or Amaretto, or even Play Doh! Some people say that Play Doh smells like almonds, some say it smells a bit like cherry, and vanilla, but cherry notes in fragrance can smell like almonds too. Tada!
