Cailyn Dissolv'It Cleansing Balm
Cailyn Dissolv’It Cleansing Balm

The Cailyn Dissolv’It Cleansing Balm looks like a pretty pot of rose gelato and it’s one of the best balm cleansers I’ve come across recently. No surprise that it’s made in Korea because it’s a new texture for a balm that can only be described as a fondant balm or a balm-lite. It’s responsive to body temperature so as soon as it goes onto your skin it becomes almost fluid (not drippy!) which is excellent for massaging over the complexion. I think I was too enthusiastic in the amount I used because you don’t actually need very much at all and for something that feels like a light oil once it’s distributed over the face, it doesn’t leave any residue when you rinse away.

The star ingredients are papaya enzyme which is always a winner for exterminating dead skin cells and vitamin C heavy acerola, and I even notice there is a bit of resveratol in there (the top listed ingredient is cetyl ethylhexanoate which is what gives it that amazing ‘slip’). I tested it on end-of-day make up and it took away everything properly but struggled a little bit with mascara. There is a light, anonymous floral scent to it but almost un-noticable.

If you love a balm cleanser, but don’t like balms that leave a residue and prefer a very cleansed feel, it’s for you. I’m absolutely thrilled with this purchase and think it’s good value for £20. You can find it HERE. The last thing I bought from Cailyn was the O Wow brush which I also love, so this is very much a brand to watch.
