Ok, so products like this make my blood boil. Studio 10 Miracle Effect Priming Serum landed on my desk this morning with some rather impressive claims and talks of clinical trials. Within 15 minutes 100% of users saw significant visible results. The benefits include visibily reducing fine lines and wrinkles, diminishing pores, age spots and pigmentation appear less visible, improves puffiness and dark circles, boosts hydration and provides the perfect canvas for make up.
Studio 10 Miracle Effect Priming Serum is on an M&S exclusive, and after trialling it, I was just, “what are they thinking?” The texture of the serum is like a sticky wall paper paste – smoother, obviously, but it feels gloopy on the skin. I gave it fifteen minutes, and pretty much nothing happened, other than when I tried to pop my foundation over the top it started to peel away in those horrible little squirls that you get when formulas are incompatible.
I’ve shown on my hand (that has no moisturiser or any incompatible product on it) what happens . … we all know those ‘squirls’, right? I then took everything off my face, and started again on completely bare skin – the same thing happened when I rubbed my face.
The upshot of this is that you can’t use it with anything else, it’s so far from a perfect canvas for make up it’s unreal and the suggestion of ‘visible’ results and ‘dramatic’ improvements is quite laughable.
The ‘clinically proven’ claim is questionable.. there’s no suggestion of number of participants and while used alone and never touched, there might be some kind of tightening action, I can’t see how the claim of age spots and pigmentation appearing less visible could stand up – it’s a completely clear product.
And, it’s £68. Buy shoes instead.

Jane, I love your honesty! Unlike so many blogs I read, you tell it how it is, so whenever I get around to launching my own brand you will be 1st on my list for a review. If you hate it so will my customers and it’ll be back to the drawing board (or Lab). Absolutely loved this.
Sounds like an awful product! Especially with the price you would think it would have been amazing x

Ouch!
Thanks for the review. You just saved me £68. 😀
I so love your reviews. You say it as you find it, be it good, bad or indifferent. And you’ve just given me affirmation to buy shoes 😉 x
I have found that primers often only work with a specific foundation. So Hourglass primer works fabulously with Hourglass foundation, but turns Dior Star foundation into those horrible little swirls on me.
Studio 10 don’t appear to have a foundation as far as I can see.
well l completely disagree with this been using this for 2 weeks now and it’s fab all I can say it does it for me
Totally agree with Mollie, the best primer I have found and I’ve tried Lancôme, No. 7, and numerous others. It does what it says, from a 60 year old looking somewhat younger than I did.
