[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I’m such a sucker for a good gloss but there’s something extra special about the Jewel Lips. They’re translucent neutral shades infused with tiny glimmers of sparkle – like a little star sneeze or something.
My preference is for Pillow Talk, the paler of the two shades, with a golden shimmer, while Walk of No Shame (has this had a name change?) has red shimmer. WONS is the bigger splash whereas Pillow Talk is like an amplified milky beige lip. There are greyish/mauve undertones to this that make it really beautiful – sexy, even – and a good every-age option for something that’s more without being too much.
As you can see, WONS has a little bit of berry to it and would be better for deeper tones although both are showcased on the website on multiple tones and look good on each one. The translucency is exactly the right amount – I’ve seen a lot of almost no colour glosses of late and while they’re absolutely my cup of tea, they aren’t for everyone. These seem to be a gap-bridge between nothing and everything and I’m straight away a fan of Pillow Talk (which I really don’t like in other formats). I’ve been testing the new CT mascara over the past couple of days – also very, very impressive. I’ll review it properly next week (it’s not on sale yet) but I promise, it’s gooooood. Jewel Lips are £22 each HERE, non affiliate HERE.

“a little star sneeze” love your writing style 🙂
Thank you Jo :-))
These are very pretty- I just want a subtle sparkle, not full on holographic!
There have been lots of name changes at Charlotte Tilbury. I saw the full list of name changes on Temptalia recently and it seems it is mostly the ones named after famous people. Maybe something the new stakeholders wanted to change?
Or maybe the famous decided it was an abuse of their own copyright? I am sure there was a big fuss about someone naming a lipstick after a celebrity and the celebrity trying to sue..
I want to say Brooke Shields? I wonder how many celebrities maybe didn’t mind as Charlotte had done their make up before but now the majority stake has been sold they are concerned about that goodwill continuing and more potential lawsuits? Lipsticks with people names are not uncommon though- I can think of NARS Audacious Lipsticks and Tom Ford straight away.
ooh you are right! because she was bringing out her own range if I remember rightly x
