[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I’m in my element with anything rosy – add in rosy cleansers and I’m extra happy. This collection from Nuxe has arrived at just the right time because it seems perfect for the fresh, sunny days we are having right now. Micellars are a big favourite of mine and I always have one to hand (lazily, they’re my low maintenance, in front of the TV cleanse, whereas a lovely cleansing balm is a bathroom job).
First up, Nuxe Very Rose 3-in-1 Hydrating Micellar, specially formulated for dry skin. It’s a mix of water, glycerin and rose water predominantly, so it’s very gentle with a mild rose scent. It won’t dry your skin at all – in fact, I found it positively skin softening with no dryness at all after using. In terms of make-up removal, it took off my tinted moisturiser and blush easily, making short work of my mascara too although I will caveat that by saying I had only a very small amount on my lashes.
Next is the Very Rose Peeling Lotion – it’s a mix of rose water and fruit acids and is really a very low maintenance way to gently peel dull cells from your complexion to give it a bit of brightness. I found it very gentle and softening and although I have only done a surface test with this – there’s no reason why I wouldn’t expect it to work in the same way as other peeling lotions. The mild rose scent is definitely a draw here – if you’re wary of harder peels, this is an excellent alternative for on-going sloughing.
I think this might be your summer best friend when the hot weather hits. It’s super fresh, giving a more in-depth cleanse to skin than a micellar might. I’m thinking of days when sweat and grime cling to hot skin and you just want your face to feel cool and clean again. It’s a candidate for keeping in the fridge although I found it plenty cooling without.
It’s a clear, jelly like formula (I used a spatula to apply and if you have one I’d recommend it – or the back of a spoon will do) that has a gentle rose fragrance and contains rose water. The brand recommends to use this for a minute before your morning shower which goes along with my theory that masks in the morning are much better because you see the results all day rather than sleeping on them. But, I’d be more inclined to use this particular one as an end of day mask before your evening routine and I left it on for more than a minute because it seemed like a skimpy amount of time. Nuxe is making steady inroads into using natural origin ingredients – 96% in this instance.
Prices are reasonable – Peeling Lotion is £19.50 HERE, Micellar is £15.50 HERE and the mask is £20.50 HERE. Non-affiliate HERE.

Oooh rose skincare regime. I want. All of them! Nuxe has some effective products, especially their handcream balm. I am rediscovering my love of all things rose and comforty this year. Jane did you notice any sting with the peeling lotion? Just asking as my skin is having some redness issues which seem to get worse with acidy / retinol products. Thank you. xx
No I didn’t but you should probably skip it if you’re experiencing any redness issues – or at least, don’t use in combination with any other peelers.
That’s good to know, thank you. I’m not using any peelers at the moment, trying to simplify things and calm the redness. Give Lady Miss Super Senior Honey a big cuddle from me. My cat Jasper is shedding c 1/4 kitten’s worth fur each day bless him xx
Oh maybe you would be okay with it then – every other day or so to start with. Thank you for the Honey love – regards to Jasper and his shed fest!
