[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I’m seeing this brand absolutely everywhere which indicates two things – good products and good PR. Even my PR friends are asking me if I’ve tried it because it has been so noticed. It’s from Australia which is always at the forefront of good sun protection and as you can see it looks very different to what we are used to. We easily accept sun care looking worthy and semi-medical and are less conditioned to seeing it in formats that are more Glossier than Soltan.
I think here in the UK we segment our beauty routines with skin care a hard first as something you think of before SPF. SPF follows, not leads, in our regimes. We have hybrids but they tend to emphasise the skin care aspect – as in, serum with SPF, rather than SPF serum. As you can see from Ultra Violette everything is SPF50 and that’s the given before the other factors. Supreme Screen is a moisturising sunscreen that acts as sunscreen, moisturiser and primer while Queen Screen has a glow element in a serum format.
The face screens are all made to be used after moisturiser and before make-up so you’re unlikely get interaction between the three as they’re meant to be together. I love the fact that if you don’t want to layer foundation, you’ll get some luminosity anyway from the Queen Screen formula. The brand uses different types of sun protection ingredients, from Tinosorbs (a trade name for UV absorbers) and zinc to mineral. They’ve taken the approach of whatever works best for each product to work at it’s maximum potential.
Lean Screen is fragrance free with a matte finish and suitable for sensitive skin. If you have oily skin, it’s the one for you.
I absolutely love Sheen Screen for lips. It’s got a beautiful iridescent seam running through it that gives lips a lightly milky clear shimmer. The one thing I will say is you get a bit of a sunscreen taste (easily washed away by the next thing you eat or drink) but if your lips hate the sunshine, they’ll be happy to wear it especially as it comes in several colours.
Price-wise, it’s at the mid-point for skin care – SpaceNK currently has 10% off so the lip balm is £14.40, Queen Screen is £32.40, Lean Screen is £30.60, Supreme Screen is £30.60 and Extreme Screen is £24.30 HERE. Non-affiliate HERE. The upshot is I can see why this collection is grabbing people’s attention – it’s pleasant to use, to the highest possible SPF standards, looks interesting and does the clever thing of layering seamlessly so you never have to battle formula clashes. I guess it takes the thinking out of sunscreen and skin care – you just do, and then go.

I’m in New Zealand and have been using this brand for just over a year now. I have oily skin and am prone to pigmentation, so finding a daily sunscreen that doesn’t leave me greasy is a challenge.
I wear the Ultra Violette Clean Screen SPF30 daily (even though it’s winter here I always wear sunscreen) and it’s hands down the best I’ve used, no greasiness at all. Last summer I also used the SPF50 when going out into the sun.
Nice to see a brand from the Southern Hemisphere featuring, for this brand especially I think it’s well deserved.
That’s great to know Anita, thank you 🙂
