It is beautiful – and it’s more like an essence than anything, you’re right – but I didn’t find it so skin softening as other essences. Lovely product, no idea where to put it!

I looked at this with interest because I still love lashings of layers in my nighttime skincare routine, though it’s all just ritualistic really.
However, I reckon one would be better served by simple glycerine and rose water, (maybe with a dash of inexpensive squalene added if not using a separate oil), rather than this concoction. It’s neither fish nor fowl is it?
(I still adore one of the very earliest ‘lotions’, the one by Trilogy. All lovely nourishing ingredients, too. I use it between moisturiser and oil at night, and as a face refresher/light cleanser in the morning).
This one I feel is all about shelf appeal rather than utility. OTOH, if one doesn’t love lashings of layers of moisture, then fair enough. Not totally convinced though!

I have this and use it like I would an essence, that is after any toner, and before your serum or moisturiser.
It is beautiful isn’t it!
