[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Well, I never thought I’d fall so hard for a pink lipstick.  I think that Charlotte Tilburyis an official partner for the jubilee pageant so of course there’s a lipstick in Her Majesty’s honour. In fact, there are three lipsticks and a make up bag. This brand now has so many lip colours that I am not certain what is new and what’s not  – it’s not really very well explained to be honest … as a trio, the lipsticks are ‘new’, but individually I am not completely sure. But, here we go, nonetheless.

Charlotte Tilbury The Queen Lipstick

The shade is in the Matte Revolution section – I’ve got around the matte issue (because I need light on my lips) by using a balm underneath which then gives it a nicely moistened look with a sheen. If I wanted more I could add a bit on top – clear Lano is good for this because it’s not too loose but underneath I’m wearing Naturopathica. It’s just such a great shade.

The Queen is enlivening and happy – it’s the right kind of bright and honestly I think it would suit anyone from 18 to 108.

If you’d prefer to dial it down a notch, Gracefully Pink (also Matte Revolution) is for you. It’s a little bit more geranium than fuchsia but it’s creamy so the colour isn’t so sharp. Again, it’s a universally flattering shade in my view. Runway Royalty (satin) is a warm, nutty neutral and if that’s your palette then it’s all the boxes ticked.

Here they are against the very regal velvet make-up bag which is actually huge – it’s more of a wash bag size.

So, from bottom to top: The Queen, Gracefully Pink and Runway Royalty. They’re £26 each HERE and the make-up bag is £30.
