[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] If you like your lashes big and bold, e.l.f.’s newest offering, Big Mood Mascara, is spot on to help you achieve them for the somewhat unbelievable price of £7. I’ve had £20 mascaras that do a less good job than this done, but it is for a particular lash look.
The brush is edging on gigantic – it’s absolutely not my personal preference – but in terms of coating lashes it’s certainly effective. I think it really depends upon the length of your lashes whether you get any ‘pull through’ – big brushes like this can’t really get to the very roots on short lashes but that may not matter if you’re just looking for length and volume rather than separation.
What I liked about Big Mood Mascara was the staying power – all the things you might think to associate with ‘cheap’ mascaras don’t happen here so there was no flaking or fading and no smudging either. In application, I did lots of smaller strokes, kind of blinking over the brush rather than attempting a deeper pull through so I feel like I had my lashes nicely loaded and by the end of the day they were still exactly that. I’m seeing this in millions of stockings when we get to that time of year (I have to warn you, advent calendars are coming up in the quite near future – only because some of them sold out in 3 days flat last year and I missed the boat by waiting to feature them) because it’s such a bargain. You can find it HERE now, non-affiliate link is HERE.

Wow, sounds like something for my daughter… Thank you! 🙂
Perfect!
ELF does it again…don’t think I’ve used a single product from them I didn’t like (well ok apart from the Putty Primer everyone raves about…but maybe my skin too ahem..mature for it!). Also bonus point here for the bright coloured metal packaging…I’m fed up rummaging in my makeup bag/box in the sea of black to find things…
Yes, great point Fi – easy to find!
