[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] It’s May so it must be Terracotta time! I can remember bronzers being really quite rare – just a thing that Guerlain (and Dior and CHANEL) did to give you a ‘South of France’ glow and nobody here really had a clue how to use them. But – we did want that glow! This brand must have explained a million times to the sun deprived UK market that you could add a whisper of brown powder and look vaguely as though you were fresh off a flight from Nice.
Bronzers are ten a penny now but while I use with caution, I do tend to veer back to the old guard who are masters of the reinvention, of which the Guerlain Terracotta Blooming Bee Compact is the latest. The floral bee is both emboss and overspray – that flash of gold is a temporary decoration to make it the prettiest thing to open and enjoy.
It’s got a light waft of fragrance and is the same tone as my regular Terracotta in Light/Medium Cool.
You can find it on FeelUnique for £40 HERE. I love any prettying up of a product – the bee is Guerlain’s emblem and they’re about to start their second bee protection campaign by raising EU1 million in three days by donating 20% of sales and EU20 for each social media share starting from 20th May so you might want to hold on til then or contribute by sharing pictures of your purchase on Instagram or TikTok.
