[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] My first impression of the new L’Occitane Pressed Fruity Lipstick was that they look very bright and a little bit uncontrollable. When I see liquid lipstick generously dolloped on an applicator it makes me nervous because it’s all too easy to overkill. However, while they are bright, they’re delightfully easy to apply with just the right amount adhering to the doe’s foot.
You’ll see from the swatches below what I mean about control concern – the finish is satin but looks glossy on the foot – but once on the lip, all is good. In fact, I’m really impressed with their vibrancy and the hold, and believe me, they are a comfort wear. I found I needed to top up after a couple of hours.
The L’Occitane Pressed Fruity Lipsticks aren’t at all drying – the formula uses fruit and vegetable oils (pomelo, carrot and grapefruit) as well as vitamin E so even for a near matte satin, as these are, lips feel flexible and soft. It’s really a very pleasant formula to wear – looks bright, feels light, is how I would sum it up and easily one of the best liquid lipsticks I’ve tried in terms of ease of wear.
From bottom to top: Spring Sunrise (which I have really fallen for!), Pomelip, Pomelove and Carrose. I could wear all of them, colourwise. They’re £20 each HERE and are exactly the right thing for brighter spring light and putting a skip in your step. Non-affiliate HERE.
POMELIP – a natural shade of pink perfect for spring
CAROSSE – a vibrant coral shade, evocative of the Provence sunrise
SPRING SUNRISE – a deep shade of pink for a bold look
POMELOVE – a true red shade to make a dramatic impression

Wow, they look more like nail polishes than lip products from the first glance! 🙂 Colors are lovely. Interesting – with all these masks anywhere near other people I still use (and notice aka want) plenty of bright lipstick (my reusable masks are permanently pink inside, but who cares?)…
They do, don’t they! These are just such vibrant shades – need regular reapplication though x
Regular reapplication does not scare me! *makes brave face* 🙂
that’s what I like to hear!
