This is very exciting news for beauty fans – Tesco’s new team of beauty experts cover off make-up, hair and skincare in a brand new, on-line consultation service.
One of the frustrations of watching your favourite beauty guru on YouTube or reading their blog is that it’s difficult to get an immediate interaction on how a certain product or look would work for you. Skin, hair and make-up have so many permutations that there are always questions!
Tesco’s team are all tech savvy – they all have websites or blogs, understand about interaction, and are completely on their A game in their chosen fields. More importantly still, they’re all women just like you and I, whose focus is not on model looks or magazine-glamour hair every day, but the nitty gritty of daily beauty. So, it’s very forward thinking of Tesco to find a way around the instant interaction by offering one-to-one consultations where you can have a proper beauty conversation, face to face via Google Hangouts (easy to do – find more information HERE).
Since none of Tesco’s new expert team are tied to any one brand, you won’t get a hard sell either; just an honest beauty chat with stellar advice borne from hands on experience.
So, let’s meet the team properly. I’ll list out their blogs and websites at the end so you can get to know them first and choose who is the right Tesco team member for you.
First up, Ambarina, a beauty writer and blogger, passionate about channelling inner beauty with a little help from her favourite jars of skincare. Next, we have Annie, beauty journalist and trend watcher with plenty of backstage secrets. April is a brow obsessive – if you want to know anything about brows, with the mysteries of contouring busted, she’s your girl! Hayley is the mastermind behind the hugely successful beauty blog, London Beauty Queen, who slashes through the hype to the products that really do the trick. If you’re a colour seeker, Jayne’s the expert for you; as long as it’s bright and bold – whether hair or make up – Jayne’s tried it and found a way to make it work. There’s barely a beauty product on the shelves that Jen hasn’t tried and tested for herself. Head there for trend news and honest product break-downs. Ever wanted an ombre dip dye, but had nobody to really talk it through with? Laura champions being experimental with your looks at any age. Stylist, fashion and beauty editor Laurie is hot on current trends and looks that enhance, rather than mask your assets. Afraid of a strong lip? All you need is a little encouragement and the right colour, and you’ll embrace the bold after chatting to Michelle.
If there’s one thing that blogs have proved time and time again, it’s that we love to chat beauty. Now you can choose who you want to talk to, and post-chat, you’ll receive an e-mail from your expert with product recommendations and an over-view of the conversation as a reminder (although you might want to keep a notebook handy).
So, Fridays are now officially beauty chat days at Tesco – you can book a session on any Friday from 10am to 7pm via the Tesco Beauty Hub at Tesco Living (HERE). Just grab a cuppa and your laptop and tap into this reservoir of experience.

This is such a good idea, it would be very handy to be able to ask any beauty question you need help with. I do not wear make up at all but if I did I think this would be a good way for me to find out where is the best place to start. I think they should have asked you to join, you would have been able to give very good advice.
thank you!
Its a really interesting idea and thank you for telling us about it!
One problem, and it might well be just me, but I can get to a web page about Google+ and I can get to the Tesco Living beauty hub page, but I cant find anything that links the two. If I would like to ask a question next Friday, where do i go? Can anyone help please.
You visit the Tesco Beauty Sessions hub here: http://tinyurl.com/o3yds2f
