[unpaid/sample/prioradrelationship] It says something about my lock down that the first thing I wondered when I smelled The Body Shop Cool Cucumber Shower Gel was where’s the gin! I’m not a massive cucumber fan (always pick it out of a Greek Salad) but it does signify, olfactorily at least, something cool and soothing.

You certainly will get a similar impression to aloe – juicy and summery – and I think there’s been a bit of sweetness added which brings the cucumber to life a bit. In terms of texture – I’m sure they don’t need any explanation because it’s the same as usual but with a different scent.

My natural choice is to pick out the body butter for moisturising rather than the yoghurt, but when my skin is hot (I wish!) and I can’t bear anything heavy on it, lighter is better. I take skin supplements that mean I don’t have to moisturise every day and I’m thankful for that but I do notice a difference in texture when I do.  While the supplements stop dry skin shed (the old black trouser enemy) it’s still nice to add suppleness and smoothness – something that both the yoghurt and butter have nailed. They’re made from ‘wonky’ fruit and veg – stuff that otherwise would go to waste. You’re probably better off to visit a store if you have one near by and you feel happy to dos so as these are listing both NEW and out of stock – I think maybe a victim of more complex logistics (they’re in stock in other countries), but a shower gel starts at £5.50.
