So, 2013 was peak nail! It seems so much longer ago that we were all utterly obsessed with everything nails… and then suddenly, without warning, the whole trend collapsed. DIOR was particularly inventive with nails – remember the Golden Jungle nail set they brought out which gave a khaki crackle glaze over a golden shade to emulate crocodile skin? How I LOVED it! And all the leather look polishes?
This nail set contains a fixing base and two different glitter powders to apply over the top for a glitter effect.
The weirdest thing about the powders is that you had to dab them on with a kind of stick thing. Nail techs are used to doing work with powders but not so much your average beauty lover so fiddly isn’t the word here, never mind having to brush off the fall out.
I think you would really need a top coat otherwise the glitter would catch everywhere – and I imagine you might be accidentally shedding glitter every time you moved. The set was £37 and was released in October just in time for the festive party season to begin. NB: I just Googled these again – and my own site popped up! So HERE is the original review of which I made a terrible mess but seem to have thought it okay at the time!
