ila Tuberose and Rose Candle

[unpaid/sample] You know, when I photographed the ila Tuberose and Rose Candle last week, I wondered why I’d never come across it before. Before I started writing this post, I did a quick google for a stockist and my own name popped up in the findings from a review from 2010. I am forgiving myself for not remembering it from 12 years ago, and at the same time, very pleased that I think the same of it as I did then.

I love the bright pink shade – it’s exactly what my eyes are seeking with spring right around the corner. The aroma is authentically rosy with green, vegetal notes behind it that give it a garden rose aspect. As in, it hits that authentic moment when you bend to smell the flower you’ve dug in and nurtured and it’s finally blooming. It’s very pleasing.

It’s described as gentle but I thought it was rather generous in throw – and another thing to note, it’s £46 and a decade ago it was £45 which I think is commendable when you consider the rate at which other products have increased their prices. Tuberose makes the finish creamy, while vetiver keeps it green. It’s indicated as a soothing, calming candle and I’d go along with that – there’s something innately relaxing and reassuring about a trail of rose in a room. To me it feels cocooning in a light way, something that’s good for the spirit and soul without sending you to sleep. Nothing not to like here! You can find the ila Tuberose and Rose Candle HERE.
