Did you know that Halloween is the third biggest event for retailers, overtaking Mother’s Day in popularity? Whaa? Poor mums. Sobering to think that our kids will be spending more on bloody fangs and cobweb tights than they will on our annual bunch of flowers! But, there it is – it’s also one of the biggest clubbing nights of the year. So, I’m covering Halloween off in this outfit post – there are some really, really fun things out there (on ASOS mainly who seem to be owning it fashion wise – Makeup Revolution has it covered on the beauty side). It’s just for ideas – I haven’t bought or seen in the flesh any of them. The Halloween Garland above (£12 HERE) seems to be the easiest way to cover off Halloween if you don’t like the idea of being too literal when it comes to spooky.
I found this batwing body in the tall section but – it’s a body, and bodies can be notoriously short. I’d go tall on a body just to ensure I’m not readjusting all night and getting press stud fastenings in all the wrong places. I spotted a similar mesh batwing on a dress in ASOS Petite. I’d pretty happily wear this – and not just for Halloween either.. it’s cute! And it’s got glow in the dark whiskers.. OF COURSE! It’s £10 HERE.

There are some gorgeous Plus Size offerings through the Halloween range at ASOS (actually, this is Boohoo branded) – which makes a decent change. I love this lace shirt with choker detail – and it’s not just for Halloween. It’s £22 HERE.
So, there is a way to do Halloween stylishly – I love this reclaimed vintage dress. It’s £48 HERE.
And this one – I see why it’s ended up in the Halloween section but there is lots of wear in this that doesn’t involve vampires. It’s £72 HERE.
Oh my! I’m pretty sure that my mum used to whittle up a tail for fancy dress using only some old tights and sticky back plastic but if you can’t see yourself setting to with that and you fancy finding out what it’s like to wear a tail, this is £15 HERE.

It must depend what part of the country your in because Halloween gets very little attention here in the Midlands. Not much in the stores, no TOTs (trick or treaters) at all in the decade I’ve been living here. But hey, its an interesting way to sell fashion.
I’m not really into Halloween anymore, but I do love getting my 2 year old daughter dressed up. She looks cute in everything! So fun.
